Phyllis Harris joined the Georgia State community in 2016, and brings a wealth of experience in conference center management, meeting and special event planning, and facility operations to her role as the director of the Buckhead Center. Her areas of expertise include strategic planning, sales generation, customer service programming, and multi-site facility management. Prior to joining the Robinson College of Business, Phyllis served as the director of operations at the Georgia Institute of Technology’s Global Learning Center, a position she held since 2007. Phyllis holds a bachelor of science degree in hospitality administration and management from Florida State University. She is also a certified meeting professional (CMP), and a member of several professional organizations, including Meeting Professional International, the International Facility Management Association and the Professional Convention Management Association.

Stephanie brings to the position an abundance of experience in sales, customer service, and hotel and property management. Prior to joining Georgia State University, she worked as an assistant property manager for Greystar Communities, where she oversaw the financial operations of residential properties. Stephanie holds a bachelor’s degree in hospitality management from Monroe College and is excited to bring her experience in business management to her role at the Buckhead Center, as well as her passion for making others feel welcome and valued and a commitment to excellence.

Aisha Drayton joined the Georgia State community in 2016. A native of Philadelphia, she brings a diverse background in the areas of HR, payroll, database management, project management and others to her role at the Buckhead Center. After graduating from ITT Technical Institute with an associate degree in criminal justice, Aisha worked full-time as an executive assistant to the college director. During her time at ITT Tech, Aisha further developed her skills as an administrative and business professional. Aisha now hopes to continue her education, and has a strong passion for her beliefs, family, and community.

Jose has worked in higher education for GSU for four years as a technician delivering on-site support to faculty, staff and students with institutional technology. Jose regularly communicates technical concepts to executives while providing support in the use of institutional technology. Jose has worked in the private business training, designing and implementing new methods for new employees. His military background brings leadership qualities that allow for more technical and tactical proficiency.

Mona Ingram joined the Georgia State community in 2014, and brings extensive experience in the field of hospitality to her role as the Buckhead Center’s event manager. Her areas of expertise include client relationship management, event planning, sales and special events. Prior to joining the university, Mona worked for the Ritz-Carlton, Atlanta, Walt Disney World, and the New York Marriott Marquis – Times Square. She has received numerous honors and awards during her career, including the Ritz-Carlton’s Golden Circle Award and Disney’s “Super Hero” Award for Service Excellence. Mona holds a master of science degree in tourism administration and marketing from New York University, and a bachelor of arts degree in business administration and finance from Clark Atlanta University. In 2015, she earned a certificate in project management from Georgia State’s Robinson College of Business. Mona enjoys giving each client personalized attention and strives to make every event memorable.
Patrick Lynch Jr.

Patrick Lynch joined the Georgia State community in 2016, and brings to his role more than 10 years of marketing, sales, customer service and event management experience, as well as experience in higher education services. Prior to joining the university, Patrick worked in the areas of higher education enrollment and large quantity retail sales. Also an entrepreneur, he managed an independent mobile vending company for four years, and continues to manage a successful event facilitation company in which he has been involved since 2004. Patrick also is currently developing a non-profit youth organization in metropolitan Atlanta. Patrick is excited to bring his well-rounded real-world skills back to the field of higher education and to the Buckhead Center.
Heather Phan joined the Georgia State community in 2003, and brings many years of experience in program management, communications, marketing and graphic design to her role as the Buckhead Center’s marketing manager. An Atlanta native, she graduated from Oglethorpe University with a degree in history and is certified in general mediation.
L. Carrie Stapleton worked for a number of years in the private sector handling a variety of accounting duties before deciding to return to school. In 2009 she was awarded the Georgia Occupational Award of Leadership and a scholarship to DeVry University. In 2010 she was the recipient of the William L. Anderson Memorial Award for exhibiting outstanding academic and work ethic qualities. She graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor of science degree in business administration with an accounting concentration and plans to begin work on a master of professional accountancy at Georgia State University. She brings her love of working with people and numbers to her role as accountant for center administration at the Buckhead Center.

Maretta brings to the position eight years of experience working in higher education supporting faculty, staff and students. Prior to joining Georgia State University, she worked with Georgia Perimeter College working with low-income, disabled and first generation college students providing administrative support for the office of TRIO Student Support Services. She received awards for outstanding customer service in 2011 and 2012. Maretta earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology and human services from Clayton State University, and is excited to begin working toward her master’s in psychology of education. She is pleased to bring her experience in customer service and her passion for serving others to the Buckhead Center.
Alecia Zackery joined the Georgia State community in 2016. She is a graduate of the J. Mack Robinson College of business, and in 2015 earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing and professional sales. Throughout her collegiate career, she was actively involved in several mentoring, community service and leadership organizations on campus. For the past five years, Alecia has worked for Chick-fil-A as a marketing director and field events staff member. During this time, she studied abroad in Europe and traveled throughout the United States with Chick-fil-A as a certified member of the Grand Opening Marketing Team. Alecia enjoys bringing her experience in special events catering, customer service and hospitality to the Buckhead Center.
