
Full-Time Recruiting, Accounting and Business Internships
Register with the Robinson Career Management Center!
For both full-time recruiting for accounting and other business internships, undergraduate students are required to register with the Robinson Career Management Center as soon as possible and take advantage of the programs and services offered. WEB-BASED RECRUITING SYSTEMS
Make sure to register for the Robinson Career Connection (RCC), our online job posting and on-campus recruiting system. Accounting employers will post jobs and internships and schedule on-campus interviews through this system. To register for RCC, email Franklin Middlebrooks at fmiddlebrooks@gsu.edu.
An additional resource for the undergraduate and graduate accounting students is Allison Jacobs, Director of Student Services for the School of Accountancy. Her role is to advise and assist all accounting students with the employer recruiting process including career and curriculum counseling, resume preparation, interviewing skills, organization of recruiting events (e.g Accounting Employer Showcase), and the maintenance and development of relationships with firm and industry recruiters. She is also the instructor for ACCT 4020, the Professional Accounting course, 2102 Principles of Accounting II and the faculty advisor for ACCT 4391, ACCT 8391 and TAX 8391. INTERNSHIP COURSE REQUIREMENTS
For full-time accounting internships with a public accounting firm, it is REQUIRED that the student have completed ACCT 4210, ACCT 4020, ACCT 4030, AND ACCT 4110. These requirements may vary with regards to corporate accounting internships. The timing and length of the internship may also vary by employer. These factors should be discussed during the interview process.
Undergraduate and graduate students may also be eligible to earn course credits for their internship experience through our Accounting Field Study courses (ACCT 4391 or ACCT 8391). The expected requirement for this course at the undergraduate level is completion of ACCT 4110. At the graduate level, the requirement is MPA, MTAX or MBA status.
