Jeff G. Hwang is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and co-founder of Pyramid Systems, Inc. (Pyramid), a full-service IT consulting and software engineering firm operating in the government and commercial markets. Under Jeff's leadership, Pyramid has:
- Been recognized by Deloitte in the Fast 50 and Technology Fast 500 listings
- Achieved uninterrupted growth and profitability since company inception
- Successfully graduated from the 8(a) program and achieved official recognition from the SBA as its 8(a) Graduate of the Year in the Washington Metropolitan District for 2008

- Achieved standing as the #1 small business IT vendor to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development
- Successfully completed projects (or successfully in process with projects) for 10+ Cabinet-level federal agencies and multiple commercial companies, including Treasury/IRS, USDA, DHS, SBA, DOT, SEC, EPA and Princeton Review
- Diversified its practice areas and service offerings so that the company has capability in the following major areas: Software Solutions, Computer Aided Facilities Management, Security Solutions, Consulting & Advisory Services and Business Support Services
- Achieved organizational CMMI Level 3 Rating and built a delivery engine based on use of leading methodologies and technology practices
- Grown into a global enterprise, with three U.S. locations and one Taiwan location, that supports 85 full-time staff members and approximately 20 consultants, with 2008 revenues of approximately $14 million
- Become a significant contributor to community-based organizations and causes, including lead sponsorship of the Red Cross Ready When the Time Comes program
Mr. Hwang moved to the United States in 1984 to pursue his Master's Degree at Georgia State University. He offers more than 20 years of experience in the information technology market. He is the principal visionary behind the Pyramid business strategy and go-to-market strategy. In 2008, Jeff was named by SmartCEO magazine as a Smart 100 CEO.
Mr. Hwang holds an M.S. in Computer Information Systems from Georgia State University's Robinson College of Business and a B.A. in Business Administration from Chengkung University, Tainan, Taiwan.
Currently, Mr. Hwang serves as the Vice Chair of Monte Jade DC Charter and is also an advisor of the International Leadership Foundation (ILF). Jeff is currently engaged in working with the Pyramid leadership team to define service offerings and solutions of the future with regard to healthcare IT, Cyber Security, and integrated infrastructure management solutions leveraging geospatial information.
