What is a Business Learning Community?
The Business Learning Community (BLC) is designed around a cluster of six sophomore-level courses tailored to any business major. BLC students are assigned to 3 core courses in the business course cluster each sesmester of their sophomore year. Students will also register for two other courses of their choice.
Students enrolled in the BLC have an opportunity to get to know fellow students who share their same interests. Classes in the learning community are limited to 40 students, providing more interaction with your professors and creating a small, friendly community within a large research university. In addition, faculty build links between the courses to provide an integrated learning experience.
Mission of the B.B.A
The mission of the B.B.A. program is to provide a broad general education and the core business knowledge and skills to prepare both traditional and non-traditional students for entry-level positions in private, public, and not-for-profit organizations and to stimulate in students a desire for lifelong learning.
