Frequently Asked Questions

Before attending EXPO or the Accounting Employer Showcase, ensure that your resume has been reviewed and approved by the Career Advancement Center career coaches. This will help make a great first impression with employers you talk with at EXPO. Practice your firm handshake and introduction to help calm your nerves and ensure that you sound confident when introducing yourself to employers. Researching companies beforehand will help you focus your time and attention. The CAC makes available resources like the Atlanta Business Chronicle and Vault for company research. Both resources are accessible via Robinson Career Connection (RCC). While there may be more than 100 companies in attendance, focus on 5-10 that are of high interest to you and recruiting students who match your profile — undergraduate or graduate, graduation year, GPA, major or MBA/M.S. focus area, etc. A great resume presented with a firm handshake followed by a confident introduction with informed conversation will make a lasting impression with recruiters!
Attending the Career EXPO is one of the primary events you can attend in order to get the required credit for BCOM. Additionally, BCOM students will have separate check-in and check-out points, utilizing Passports, that will be clearly marked at the registration table.
Panther Express shuttle buses will be running a continuous loop from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with stops at the Rialto Center, the Student Center, and the Hyatt Regency.
A photographer will be on hand at EXPO from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. to take professional headshots of students. Pictures will be distributed via email 1-2 weeks after EXPO.
