Georgia State University is a premier urban research university located in Atlanta. The region represents a thriving regional hub for business, technology, transportation and culture. CIBER has valuable working relationships with such organizations as Global Atlanta, Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, the State of Georgia Department of Economic Development, Federal Reserve, The Coca-Cola Company, UPS, Delta, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, and the Consular Corps and Bi-National Chambers of Commerce.

CIBER collaborates with this network to implement joint programs designed to facilitate cross-border trade, investment and educational exchanges. Activities include:

  • technical assistance to individual firms
  • seminars and workshops
  • research and intern support
  • partner identification

CIBER is also engaged in a variety of applied research projects designed to enhance business competitiveness in global markets. An example is the Country Risk Measurement project, which quantifies risk associated with doing business abroad. Equipped with the knowledge of potential vulnerabilities in foreign markets, firms will be better prepared to anticipate and mitigate risks.
