One of GSU-CIBER's signature activities has been to spearhead the Southeast U.S. Higher Education Consortium for International Business. The consortium leads the formation of a collaborative higher education community composed of two-year, four-year, and historically black colleges and universities in Georgia, Alabama, Florida, Tennessee, North Carolina and South Carolina. The consortium serves as a clearinghouse for faculty development, teaching material preparation, regional resource sharing and technical assistance with writing DOE grant proposals. Students at consortium schools will participate in jointly sponsored study abroad and work abroad programs.

After launching the consortium on November 8, 2010, GSU-CIBER formed the advisory council and held its first meeting on January 21, 2011. The consortium now represents more than 40 different institutions from the Southeast region.

We would like to thank our co-sponsors for their support in making the Southeast U.S. Higher Education Consortium a success. With the co-sponsors continued support, the Southeast Consortium has been able to hold workshops, seminars and meetings to further its agenda of assisting institutions in the region with improving and expanding on their international business curricula.
