Opening doors for the next generation
When a student takes his or her first international flight, S. Tamer Cavusgil expects that student’s life to change. That’s what happened in 1970, as his journey to the U.S. led to an acclaimed academic career in international marketing. The opportunities that sprung from that first trip motivate him today as a professor, mentor and donor.

While it earned the national resource designation in 2010, Georgia State University and the Institute of International Business at the Robinson College of Business have been serving the academic and business communities with international business expertise since the 1970s. Building on rich traditions of curriculum and faculty internationalization, strong ties to the corporate community and exemplary programs such as the Global Partners MBA, Georgia State University CIBER will remain in the forefront of international business education, research and business outreach.

Middle Class Phenomenon in Emerging Markets Conference

This conference will bring together scholars from multiple disciplines and countries to examine the middle class in emerging markets from at least three key themes: consumers, citizens, and the media.
