Roger A. Kerin is the Harold C. Simmons Distinguished Professor of Marketing. Professor Kerin received a BA (magna cum laude), MBA and Ph.D. at the University of Minnesota. Professor Kerin is a previous editor of the Journal of Marketing. He is the author of Strategic Marketing Problems: Cases and Comments, 11th ed. (Prentice Hall, 2007), and Marketing, 9th ed. (McGraw Hill/Irwin, 2009), which has been translated into 10 languages. Professor Kerin is also a co-editor of Marketing Decision Making: New Perspectives and Practices (Chicago: American Marketing Association, 2008). He has published over 60 scholarly articles, appearing in journals such as Journal of Marketing, Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, Journal of Retailing, Journal of Advertising Research, Strategic Management Journal, Management Science and Journal of Applied Psychology. Recent articles include, "Strategic Marketing and the CMO," Journal of Marketing (October 2005) and "Broadening the Scope of Reference Price Advertising Research", Journal of Marketing (October 2006).
Professor Kerin has served as a member of the American Marketing Association Board of Directors and as the AMA Vice-President of Publications. He recently completed a 6-year term on the Board of Governors of the Academy of Marketing Science and is currently Vice Chairman of the Board & Treasurer of the American Marketing Association Foundation Board of Trustees.
