Tamer Cavusgil
S. Tamer Cavusgil is Fuller E. Callaway Professorial Chair and Director of the Institute of International Business, Robinson College of Business, Georgia State University. An elected Fellow of the Academy of International Business, his areas of specialization include international marketing strategy, early internationalization, and emerging markets. Tamer has authored more than a dozen books and over 180 refereed journal articles. His work is among the most cited contributions in international business. His 2008 book, International Business: Strategy, Management, and the New Realities, co-authored with Gary Knight and John Riesenberger, is published by Prentice-Hall.

His professional career spans teaching, research and administrative responsibilities in international business at Michigan State University, Bradley University, University of Wisconsin, and the Middle East Technical University (Turkey). In addition, he served as Senior Fulbright Scholar to Australia and taught at Monash University. Recently, he was appointed a visiting Professor at Manchester Business School, and as Gianni and Joan Montezemolo Visiting Chair at the University of Cambridge, the United Kingdom.

Tamer served as the inaugural Editor of the Journal of International Marketing, published by the AMA. He edits Advances in International Marketing (Emerald). A native Turkey and a citizen of the U.S.A., Professor Cavusgil earned his MBA and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Wisconsin.
