Shannon Cummins

Shannon Cummins
Shannon is from rural, central Nebraska and graduated with undergraduate degrees in economics, international studies, and art history & criticism.  After college, she completed a Fulbright Fellowship at the Warsaw School of Economics in Poland where she studied foreign direct investment into the agricultural sector.  Shannon then completed an MBA Agribusiness Specialization and is now a second year doctoral student.  She has worked on a USDA grant investigating marketing and childhood obesity, data of which has been presented at conferences including this winters AMA.  Shannon is currently investigating the impact of firm governance strategy and will present a paper on consumer ritual at this summer's macro marketing conference.  Her research interests include sustainability, corporate governance, and marketing communications; and her teaching preparations have included introductory marketing, marketing communications, consumer behavior, and international marketing.
