Ozge Yucel Aybat is a third-year doctoral student at Baruch College, the City University of New York. She received her B.A. in Management from Bogazici University, Istanbul, Turkey in 2003 and worked three years as a marketing specialist prior to attending Baruch College. Her research interest is focused on consumer behavior: factors leading to consumer preferences such as consumer lifestyles, goals and cultural differences. Additionally, she is exploring the effects of comparative advertisements on consumers' preferences. Recently, she has been working on how experiences affect consumers' attitude for indulgent products as well as the role of subgoals on consumers' goal commitment. She is currently teaching Marketing Foundations at Baruch College and has been awarded the CUNY Doctoral Student Research Grant.
