Kesha K. Coker
Kesha K. Coker is a Doctoral Candidate in the Department of Marketing at Southern Illinois University Carbondale (SIUC). She has a Bachelor of Science in Management, with First Class Honors, from the University of the West Indies (UWI), Trinidad and Tobago. Under the sponsorship of a Fulbright scholarship, she earned a Master of Business Administration at SIUC. For her performance in the MBA program, Kesha was awarded "The Asthagiri Chandra Sekaran Award for the Most Outstanding Woman Graduate Student at SIUC" and was inducted into two honor societies: the International Honor Society of Beta Gamma Sigma and the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi.

Kesha is currently working on her dissertation on the social aspects of experiential consumption of marketing communications. She has a keen interest in consumer behavior with related research interests including branding; marketing communications (particularly product placements); marketing and technology (virtual commerce, user-generated content, mobile marketing, and new media); implicit attitudes; pricing; corporate reputation; and marketing education. She has several conference publications, with many being accepted for presentation at top tier conferences such as those hosted by the American Marketing Association, INFORMS Marketing Science, and the Academy of Marketing Science. Kesha also has many manuscripts under review at marketing journals, including journals such as Journal of Product and Brand Management and Corporate Reputation Review.

Kesha has professional experience in teaching both the introductory undergraduate marketing course and the lab section of doctoral-level multivariate statistics at SIUC. She also has professional experience in marketing, banking, and information technology.
