Manoshi Samaraweera
Manoshi Samaraweera is a second-year doctoral candidate in Marketing at the University of Houston. She is interested in examining the following research question: how can organizations create strategically focused climates to yield greater performance from their sales force? Co authored by Steve Brown and William Zhan, Manoshi has a book chapter on "The Use of Organizational Climate in Sales Force Research" forthcoming in the Oxford Handbook of Sales Management and Sales Strategy. Manoshi holds a B.Sc. majoring in Agricultural Economics and Business Management from the University of Peradeniya in Sri Lanka. The findings of her undergraduate research study titled: "Analysis of Vegetable Supply Chains of Supermarkets in Sri Lanka" was presented in a forum of academics and policy makers at the South Asia Regional Conference and was published in the Sri Lankan Journal of Agricultural Economics (2004). She fell in love with marketing while she was an undergraduate which led her to go half way round the world to join the Ph.D. program at the University of Houston.
