J. Mack Robinson College of Business Faculty Openings for 2010-2011 Academic Year
Georgia State University invites applications for multiple full-time tenure-track and non-tenure-track faculty positions in several departments for appointments in the 2010-2011 academic year, which begins in August 2010. Rank is open, but we expect to make tenure-track appointments at the rank of assistant or associate professor in Accountancy, and assistant or associate professor in Managerial Sciences (Strategy and/or Entrepreneurship and Operations Management and /or Business Analysis). We also invite applications for non-tenure-track positions at clinical assistant or associate professor in Accountancy, Hospitality, and Managerial Sciences or at Lecturer in Accountancy and Managerial Sciences. Positions are contingent on final budget approval by the University.

Minimum qualifications for tenure-track faculty positions include an appropriate doctorate (by the time of appointment), demonstrated ability to conduct high-quality research publishable in the leading journals and a strong teaching capability. For more senior positions, a national and international reputation and a strong record of academic achievement in research, teaching and service are expected. Minimum qualifications for non-tenure-track clinical faculty positions include an appropriate doctorate and demonstrated strong teaching capability, as well as a strong connection to practice of the discipline.
Salaries, teaching loads, and research support are competitive and consistent with high research expectations. Positions will be filled beginning September 25, 2009; applications will be reviewed until positions are filled.
