2009 Ethics Advocate Award

The recipient has been named and the date set for the Center’s biggest and most anticipated event of the year. Helene D. Gayle, MD, MPH, president and chief executive officer of CARE USA, will receive the 2009 Ethics Advocate Award on Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at the annual gala and celebration to be held at the Carter Presidential Center in Atlanta. Dr. Gayle will be honored for her leadership in addressing the issues of global poverty, injustice and inequality as demonstrated in her unflagging advocacy on behalf of women, minorities and the marginalized.

Olson discusses Corporate Responsibility

Lunch and learn


The Center is joining other organizations at Georgia State University to host a lunchtime speaker series entitled Slavery - not just a thing of the past. In this three-week series, you will hear from experts on the issue of Modern Day Slavery, which currently affects an estimated 27 million people worldwide.

Week 1 - Wednesday, October 21 - Prosecution/Punishment
Week 2 - Wednesday, October 28 - Protection
Week 3 - Wednesday, November 4 - Prevention
