Angela da Rocha is dean of COPPEAD Graduate School of Business of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. She also  teaches at the MBA and Doctoral Programs, as well as in Executive Education.

Professor da Rocha holds a PhD in Marketing from IESE, Universidad de Navarra, Spain, an MBA from COPPEAD and a BS in Economics from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. She teaches Marketing Strategy, Marketing Planning, and International Business.

Her work has been published in the International Marketing Review, Journal of Product Innovation Management, Journal of International Business Studies, European Journal of Marketing, Journal of Global Business, International Journal of Retailing and Distribution Management, and Advances in International Marketing. She is the author or co-author of several books published in Brazil, among them Marketing: Theory and Practice in Brazil, Technology Marketing, Export Management in Brazil, Service Marketing, and Companies and Customers.  

Her present research interests are on the impact of culture on management and marketing, the Internationalization of Brazilian companies, and globalization. She has done consulting for several of Brazil's top corporations. Professor da Rocha is a member of the American Marketing Association and of the CIMaR - Consortium for International Marketing Research. She is a former president of the Business Association of Latin American Studies - BALAS, where she has also served in other executive positions. She is co-editor of the Latin American Business Review and coordinates the PRONEX Research Program in International Business at COPPEAD, under a selective government grant for outstanding academic research groups.
