A two semester (6 semester hour) paid residency is required of all MBA/MHA students following the completion of course work. The paid residency eases the transition from the classroom to the workplace by providing students with intensive exposure to the management of the particular career environment they have chosen.
The Institute coordinates residency placement based on the individual's career objectives, academic/professional background and personal preferences. The residency ensures that all graduates have real-world administrative experience in the healthcare industry. This experience enhances job possibilities. Preceptors at the sponsoring healthcare organizations supervise the residencies.
