Alumni
The Cecil B. Day School of Hospitality Administration has more than 1,500 graduates of our program working in large-scale operations like convention and visitors bureaus, hotels and restaurants; to independently owned operations.
The Hospitality Alumni Club offers our graduates social, networking and educational opportunities. Membership, through the university's Alumni Association, is open to not only hospitality graduates but also anyone with a connection to the industry or interest in the field.
As hospitality alumni, the club provides you with the latest in industry developments, professional connections and career placement. The club's programs range from social and professional networking, to industry-related workshops and forecasts. We welcome you to join us.

The Hospitality Alumni Leadership Council
The Hospitality Alumni Club’s Leadership Council comprises the club’s officers and committee chairs. The Leadership Council provides an excellent way for graduates to gain leadership experience as well as positively impact the Alumni Club - now and in the future. Members of the Alumni Leadership Council, during their tenure of service, are also considered to be members of the school’s Industry Board and may attend Industry Board meetings and other functions providing interaction with top leaders in our field.

A Real Iron Chef
In 2005, Hans Rueffert's life took an amazing turn when he went from a virtually unknown chef to a popular reality show finalist on the Food Network's "Next Food Network Star." Then, just two weeks after his top-three finish in the competition - and one day before his 33rd birthday - he was diagnosed with stage 3 stomach cancer.
