Cecil B. Day School of Hospitality, Study Abroad Program, European Hospitality Experience in Italy, Switzerland, Germany and France

Program
The program is designed to introduce students to European Hospitality through the exploration of a variety of hospitality businesses in Italy, Switzerland, Germany and France. The first phase of the course will be conducted in Atlanta and will address the background of the European hospitality and tourism industry utilizing lectures, videos and class discussion.

The second phase will involve an exploration of a variety of hospitality businesses in Italy, Switzerland, France and Germany. Activities will include:

  • Tours of landmark hotels
  • Tours and dining experiences
  • A tour of a major convention center
  • A guided tour of a French winery
  • A tour of an authentic German brewery
  • A tour of a leading casino
  • Many other exciting venues
Visits to the various facilities will be complemented by presentations from managers and owners of the host facilities.

This program is open to all undergraduates and graduate students who meet all academic requirements of the Georgia State University J. Mack Robinson College of Business (see appropriate university catalog). Program size is limited so participants are urged to apply early. Participation is contingent upon acceptance by the program director.

Credit and Coordinated Courses
Participants who successfully complete the program will receive three credit hours. Undergraduate students will register for HADM 4600.
