While we have seen some progress through the Oslo Agreement of 1993 and the 1994 peace treaty between Israel and Jordan, much remains to be done. Today, with the Israeli government committed to disengagement from Gaza, I am optimistic that a window of opportunity is being created for real
movement toward peace between Israelis and Palestinians. It’s imperative that leaders in the region and in the international community take advantage of this moment."
