With so many Robinson graduates in key positions throughout Atlanta (see survey), State of Business decided to sample a few on just where the city is headed and on how business in Atlanta will deal with the challenges ahead.

When traveling overseas, Ken Byers, MBA ’72, used to have to give a detailed explanation of where he was from – Atlanta, Georgia, in the United States. Now he just says Atlanta, and people around the world nod in recognition. "We hit big with the Olympics," says Byers, president of Byers Engineering Company, who carried the Olympic torch on one leg of its journey to the 1996 games.

Richard Little, MBA ’88, chairman of Rosser International, agrees. "The Olympics put us on the world map and got Atlanta the exposure it deserved."
