Executives in
Classrooms
– 70% see a trend in having more business executives in the classroom; 77% would support changes in the accreditation standards to allow for greater use of executives in the classroom.

Reputation – 77% say reputation of MBAWP programs have somewhat or significantly improved, with 78% crediting improved educational experiences.

Competition – While regional and local schools pose the greatest competition for MBAWP programs, 50.5% of the deans say that online education programs are their biggest competition.

Enrollment – 54% have seen an increase in enrollment over the past two years.

More Women – 56% say that over the past five years the number of women has increased while men and minority student numbers have stayed the same.

Challenges – 57% say that fostering student engagement can be difficult for MBAWP programs; 51% say that one of the top challenges is adopting curriculum changes fast enough to keep pace with changes in business.

* The survey was conducted by the J. Mack Robinson College of Business in conjunction with the MBAWP Affinity Group within the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). The survey polled 276 deans. 66% of respondents were deans with public institutions, 47% are located in a major market, and 43% represented MBAWP programs with 200–500 students.
