Marketing's Elite Converge at Robinson

An elite group of 104 marketing doctoral students and 110 of the world’s most distinguished marketing faculty gathered at the Robinson College for the 44th Annual American Marketing Association Sheth Foundation Doctoral Consortium.

This premier international gathering of marketing scholars, co-chaired by Ken Bernhardt, Naveen Donthu, and V. Kumar of Robinson’s Department of Marketing, offered presentations, workshops, and networking events that encouraged interaction and dialogue between renowned faculty and student fellows. Academicians from around the world led and participated in lenary and breakout sessions on marketing topics such as sales, services, retail, customer relationship marketing, business-to-business, customer behavior, brand strategy, and marketing models.

The 44th Annual American Marketing Association Sheth Foundation Doctoral Consortium was sponsored by Robinson’s Center for Excellence in Brand and Customer Management, the American Marketing Association, the American Marketing Association Foundation, the Madhuri and Jagdish N. Sheth Foundation, the Institute for the Study of Business Markets, the Marketing Science Institute, The Coca-Cola Company, the Atlanta Braves, and Google.

McChesney to Head Grad Recruiting, Student Services at Georgia State’s Robinson College

Toby McChesney
Toby McChesney has been named director of Robinson’s
newly reorganized Graduate Recruiting and Student Services
Department.

McChesney was previously head of Robinson’s Professional MBA (PMBA) program. In his new role he will oversee recruiting, admissions, and student support for the PMBA, the Flex MBA program and specialized master’s programs including the Executive Master of Science in Finance and Executive Master of Science in Managing Information Technology.

McChesney joined Robinson in the fall of 2008 from Emory’s Goizueta Business School, where he was associate director of Executive MBA admissions. He holds a master of arts in higher education administration from George Washington University and currently is working on his doctoral degree in higher educational leadership.
