Can You Hear Me Now?
It’s happened to everyone. You hear a phone and wonder if it’s yours. But in recent years, customizable ringtones
have helped solve that problem. That is until everyone uses the same song. But in the booming ringtone market,
some have used the internet to figure out how to bypass the per-song charge and customize a ringtone using
their personal music collection. While the recording and mobile-phone industries yell foul, users argue otherwise.
“This is an unsettled area of law that hasn’t been challenged in court,” Perry Binder, associate professor of legal
studies at Robinson, told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. “The true issue is: Can I take my CD that I bought, put
it on my phone and say it’s a fair use of what I bought? The recording industry would say no, it’s not a fair use.

if this was the right move. Senn told Reuters News that the
elevation of Kent was no surprise given his increased visibility
with the media and Wall Street, and it shows that the company
was “back on track” in terms of succession planning. “There
are potholes but Kent and Isdell have the company moving
forward. I believe Muhtar Kent will keep that energy moving
and probably even raise the bar on it.”
