UPS Delivery Intercept, which enables shippers to intercept and reroute packages before they are delivered, was named the Grand Winner in the 16th annual MAX (Marketing Award for Excellence)competition sponsored by the Robinson College of Business Department of Marketing and the Atlanta Business Chronicle.

Two other companies were declared MAX winners – STEEM for the ScoutParents program and InterfaceFLOR for the ReEntry2.0/RePrise Collection. Winners were chosen from a group of finalists selected by the Georgia State University Marketing RoundTable, which is composed of senior marketing executives from many of Atlanta’s top companies.

Other finalists included Aerosol Specialties – Aerosol Spray Pen; CheckFree – Web RXP; Equifax – InterConnect® Direct/APPRO; Inviro Medical Devices – InviroSTRIPE®; Kennickell Print & Global Marketing – Direct Mail Program; Kimberly-Clark Health Care – InteguSeal Microbial Skin Sealant; Spunlogic and InterContinental Hotels Group – Crowne Plaza’s Second Life Island.

“The MAX Awards winners are selected for developing creative and innovative marketing solutions that provide significant value to the targeted consumer,” said Ken Bernhardt, Regents Professor of Marketing at the J. Mack Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University.

Presentations were made at an awards breakfast held February 29 at the Georgia Aquarium. The keynote speaker at the event was James McCaffrey, executive vice president, Operations and Strategy, and chief strategy officer for Turner Broadcasting System, Inc.
