MAX Delivered to UPS
UPS Delivery Intercept, which enables shippers
to intercept and reroute packages before
they are delivered, was named the Grand
Winner in the 16th annual MAX (Marketing
Award for Excellence)competition sponsored
by the Robinson College of Business Department
of Marketing and the Atlanta Business Chronicle.
Two other companies were declared
MAX winners – STEEM for the
ScoutParents program and InterfaceFLOR
for the ReEntry2.0/RePrise Collection.
Winners were chosen from a group
of finalists selected by the Georgia State
University Marketing RoundTable, which is
composed of senior marketing executives
from many of Atlanta’s top companies.
Other finalists included Aerosol Specialties –
Aerosol Spray Pen; CheckFree – Web RXP;
Equifax – InterConnect® Direct/APPRO;
Inviro Medical Devices – InviroSTRIPE®;
Kennickell Print & Global Marketing – Direct
Mail Program; Kimberly-Clark Health Care –
InteguSeal Microbial Skin Sealant; Spunlogic
and InterContinental Hotels Group – Crowne
Plaza’s Second Life Island.
“The MAX Awards winners are selected
for developing creative and innovative
marketing solutions that provide significant
value to the targeted consumer,” said Ken
Bernhardt, Regents Professor of Marketing
at the J. Mack Robinson College of Business
at Georgia State University.
Presentations were made at an awards
breakfast held February 29 at the Georgia
Aquarium. The keynote speaker at the
event was James McCaffrey, executive
vice president, Operations and Strategy,
and chief strategy officer for Turner
Broadcasting System, Inc.
