Poznań-Atlanta Program Robinson's First

While Robinson continues to expand its global programming (see Moscow article), one of its most enduring international partnerships continues to thrive.

Introduced in 1995 under the leadership of former Robinson Dean John Hogan, and with the seed financing from a grant provided by the Andrew Mellon Foundation, the Poznań-Atlanta program utilizes Robinson faculty to bolster Polish graduates’ career prospects.

Although classes are conducted in both Polish and English, prospective students are required to be able to speak fluent English as well as possess at least three years of business experience. Upon completion of the degree, graduates (typically 40–50 per year) build a more solid network of contacts than their Polish MBA counterparts and earn up to 3.5 times more than professionals with some other type of Polish master’s degree. Plus, graduates of the 2-year program earn a certificate issued jointly by both partner institutions in addition to a postgraduate diploma from the Poznań University of Economics.

Robinson Launches First Doctorate Program for Senior Business Executives in Georgia

The Robinson College will offer Georgia’s first executive doctorate program for senior business executives. The rigorous, three-year program is designed for business leaders who seek to gain a broader understanding of global management while having the opportunity to shape the study and practice of business leadership.

According to Dean Fenwick Huss, despite the demand from companies and business executives, few schools offer this type of program. “Our program is designed for busy executives who have already earned an advanced degree, hold full-time jobs, and seek to enhance their effectiveness and careers in senior leadership positions,” said Huss. “Additionally, this program can be used by companies as a tool to retain valued top executives.”

The three-year program will be an executive format with six two-day residencies (Friday and Saturday) per semester. The program is scheduled to launch in 2009.
