The Robinson College strives for distinctiveness and leadership in all that it does. Our programs are designed to develop future leaders - those who will rise to the very top of the organizations they serve and be true thought leaders in business and society.
We recognize leadership through our Business Hall of Fame, where we have inducted 52 of Atlanta's business legends over the past 20 years, and our Alumni Awards program, which annually honors alumni for career achievement and support of the community and the College. We also bring business leaders together with our renowned faculty and students to discuss real-world management and cutting-edge business issues.
In this issue of The State of Business, we explore the many facets of leadership that are revealed in the various programs and activities of the College
You'll read how leadership is integral to our curriculum; hear from Robinson graduate and chairman, president and CEO of Hershey Foods Rick Lenny; and sit in on a special RoundTable gathering where executives from top Atlanta companies discuss what leadership means to them.
Finally, in addition to our regular features, you'll read a brief history of our Business Hall of Fame, which just celebrated its 20th year.
For me there is no better way to conclude my seven years as your dean than to bring you these insights from top faculty and business leaders. As with all our issues in the past, the contributions of alumni, faculty and the business community have made this magazine one of the best b-school publications in the nation. My thanks to all those who have supported us in this effort and to all of you who have supported me in my role as dean these past seven years.
