The Center for Mature Consumer Studies Research Reports

1. National Studies of the Mature Market for Health-Care Services
The results of two large-scale national studies are presented in this research report.  The objectives of these studies were to:
investigate needs for health-care services; examine preferences for selected health-care products and services; investigate preferences for sources of information about new health-care services; examine reasons for patronizing specific health-care providers--hospitals, physicians and surgeons; investigate preferences for payment methods for health-care services and products; investigate reasons for preferences for selected health-care services; analyze media preferences of older adults (age 55 and over) who prefer selected health-care products; and analyze needs for health-care services, product/service preferences, sources of information, patronage reasons and payment methods by demographic characteristics, lifestyles, and shopping habits.  Responses to health-care questions in the studies are reported for older (55 ) and younger age groups and are analyzed across ten sociodemographic characteristics of older adults.  © 1997.  Length 160 pages.  $200.00
