January 15, 2009 - (ATLANTA) - Jora Vaso, an MIB candidate, has been selected as the recipient of the 2008 Eric Joiner Scholarship Award. Jora has completed her coursework and is about to pursue an international internship as part of the requirement for MIB. Previously, she has earned a bachelor of Journalism and Mass Communication degree from the University of Georgia, and has served as a graduate assistant for the Global Partners MBA. She is fluent in several languages and also is interested in International Politics. Congratulations, Jora!
This scholarship is made possible by the generosity of Mr. Eric Joiner, co-founder and Vice Chairman of the Atlanta-based AJC International, a world leader in marketing frozen and refrigerated food products. AJC International also is a leader in global logistics; it brings together producers and customers who span across 140 countries in six continents.
Mr. Joiner, a 1969 alumnus of the Robinson College of Business with BBA and MBA degrees, is a visionary business leader. He served as President and COO of AJC International for some 20 years, and expanded the company's reach through China, South America and Russia. He holds leadership positions on numerous industry associations and public service organizations. In addition, Mr. Joiner regularly serves as a mentor for RCB students and is a frequent speaker at RCB events. The IIB is privileged to have such a distinguished business leader among its alumni.
