Glenn Harrison to Receive Honorary Doctorate from University of Copenhagen
CBS President Per Holten-Anderson wrote Harrison that he was selected for the award “in light of your scientific accomplishments, outstanding international research and your fruitful collaboration with CBS over the years.”
A prolific scholar with more than 185 academic papers in leading general and specialist journals, Harrison’s research interests span experimental economics, econometrics, environmental economics and international trade policy.
Harrison also has served as a consultant for numerous government agencies and private bodies, including the World Bank (evaluating trade policy reforms for developing countries), the Swedish government and the United States Environmental Protection Agency (evaluating carbon tax proposals), the Danish government (evaluating tax and deregulation policies), and counsel representing parties suing tobacco companies and drug companies for economic damages.
Harrison will be awarded the honorary doctorate at a ceremony at Copenhagen Business School on March 24, 2017, where he will deliver a lecture titled “New Behavioral Economics and Old Welfare Economics.”
