Biography

Chris Fenn, CPA, MBA, M.Tx., is a full-time faculty member at Georgia State University and the CEO of American Capital Corporation, which provides tax and financial planning services to entities and highly compensated individuals. He contracts with the American Institute of Certified Accountants to write questions for the CPA exam (REG, AUD, FAR and BEC) and conducts workshops for CPA exam writers. He is a member of the board of authors for Federal Taxation, Comprehensive Topics, and Federal Taxation, Basic Principles, both published by CCH Inc. He has served as technical editor for CCH’s U.S. Master Compensation Tax Guide and Federal Tax Service. His tax lecture notes are published and distributed nationally by CCH Inc. He has co-authored a book on capital gain transactions and written papers featured in the Journal of Accountancy, The CPA Journal and other publications. At Georgia State University, he is currently teaching graduate-level financial accounting courses (M.P.A. and MBA), graduate-level managerial accounting courses (MBA), graduate-level auditing courses (M.P.A.) and senior-level comprehensive tax planning courses.
