Dr. Xia’s research interests include operations and supply chain analytics, managing supply chain uncertainties and risks, the interface between operations and marketing, and behavioral operations management. He has published papers in journals such as Operations Research, Manufacturing and Service Operations Management, Production and Operations Management, Journal of Operations Management, IIE Transactions, Naval Research Logistics, and Decisions Sciences, among others. His research has been supported by NSF and industries such as, Ryerson Inc., and Closets and More. He is currently a senior editor of Production and Operations Management, and an associate editor of Decision Sciences.
