GROUPWISE 6.5

When your computer is upgraded to Windows® XP, Groupwise will also be upgraded.

Some advantages are:

  1. You cannot accidentally delete the “Sent Items” folder because it is created by the System.
  2. The “Contacts” folder is also a System folder and has your Frequent Contacts.
  3.  When you have responded to an email a little red arrow appears next to the email in your Mailbox.
  4. When you receive a reply to a sent item a little blue arrow appears next to the email in your Mailbox.
  5.  GW has added a “Checklist” folder where you can move email that needs to be acted on and you can check it off after you have finished the task.
  6. There is a junk‑mail filter. You can direct all mail that does not come from an entry in any of your GW address books or “Frequent Contact” folder to Junk Mail.

The following are some differences:

  1. There are minor changes in the screens.
  2. To attach a document, click on the paperclip on the toolbar or right click in the lower window.
  3. To Archive, under Actions, click on “Move to Archive”
  4. To Toggle back and forth between the active mailbox and your archive, click onOnline above your name, or, you can click on File and “Open Archive.”
  5. To proxy to an account, also click on “Online” or click on File, Proxy.

All your sent items are in the new “Sent Items” folder.  What is in the “Old Sent Items” folder is a duplicate. It is OKAY to delete the “Old Sent Items” folder.
