Biography Dr. Gibler teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in real estate principles, investment analysis, finance and mortgage banking, and market analysis. She has also taught courses in real estate economics, consumer behavior, and market research. Dr. Gibler's research interests have centered on elderly consumers and their housing as well as corporate real estate.
Dr. Gibler serves on the editorial board of the Seniors Housing & Care Journal. She has been an invited speaker to meetings of the National Association of Home Builders, the National Association of Realtors, and the Fannie Mae Research Roundtable on Reverse Mortgages. Dr. Gibler's professional experience is in city planning. She held positions with the City of Rockwall, Texas, Quadrant Consultants, Houston, Texas, and Lower Chattahoochee Area Planning and Development Commission, Columbus, Georgia. She has published in such journals as Housing Policy Debate, Journal of Consumer Affairs, Journal of Consumer Marketing, Real Estate Issues, Appraisal Journal, Financial Services Review, Journal of Applied Real Property Analysis, Real Estate Economics, Journal of Real Estate Research, Journal of Property Investment and Finance, International Real Estate Review, and Journal of Real Estate Practice and Education.
