In presenting his outlook for the Georgia and national economies, Dr. Dhawan paid particular attention to how the forces at work in the economy, such as job growth, will impact housing and other real estate markets.

The meeting also included a presentation of the results from Georgia State's Atlanta Real Estate Sentiment survey and index. This survey of Atlanta real estate insiders suggests that the mood in the real estate industry has improved over the last six months yet remains somewhat negative with nearly 70% of the respondents giving the current Atlanta real estate market a grade of "Poor."
