LEARN TO BE AN ENTREPRENEUR AND GET A $1,000
AWARD
Ever thought about starting your own business or being more of
an entrepreneur where you work? We'll give you the chance to learn
from working with a real entrepreneur, to earn academic credit and
to obtain a $1,000 scholarship for your accomplishments! The Center
for Entrepreneurship at Georgia State University offers both undergraduate
(MGS 4590) and graduate students (MGS 8590) our Field Study Course
in Entrepreneurship in which you will work with entrepreneurs who
are starting, expanding, changing or turning around their businesses.
You might help founders turn their ideas into a viable business,
determine the feasibility of offering a new product or service in
an existing firm, construct a web page, improve a cost accounting
system, etc. Importantly, you'll have the chance to observe owners,
founders, and entrepreneurial managers at close range.
The 3 credit class will meet only twice as you will be expected
to work 8 to 10 hours per week for an entrepreneur.
To take advantage, please submit to Dr. Henley: (1) a high-quality
current resume and (2) fill out the Student Form on the following
website: http://robinson,gsu.edu/rec/ (first click on "Field
Study", then "Student Form").
Please note the early application deadline as preference will be
given to students who apply by this deadline. If enough students
apply by this deadline, there will not be another opportunity to
apply.
Please contact Dr. Greg Henley at ghenley@gsu.edu to learn more.
