NITA ROBINSON SCHOLARS PROGRAM
In honor of Mrs. Nita Robinson, J. Mack Robinson endowed The Nita Robinson Scholars Program for $1 million. The scholarships are awarded to students to further their understanding of the global business environment. The following students received the awards for Fall 2006 and Spring 2007:

THE SIDNEY AND MARY HARRIS TRAVEL AWARD
Dr. Sidney E. Harris, former dean of the J. Mack Robinson College of Business, and his wife, Dr. Mary Harris, established the Sidney and Mary Harris Travel Award to support Robinson College of Business students to internationalize their program of study.

THE ATLANTA AIR CARGO ASSOCIATION MARV GORDON MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP FUND
The Atlanta Air Cargo Association / Marv Gordon Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in 1990 to award students who have an expressed interest in international business with a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better.

BUSINESS AND INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION AWARD
The U.S. Department of Education's "Business and International Education Program" award is to support the Conduit to Global Competence project. The intent of the project is to support the internationalization efforts of the Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University.

THE LORI MUSE STUDY ABROAD SCHOLARSHIP ENDOWMENT
The Lori Muse Study Abroad Scholarship Endowment was established in memory of Lori Muse and her love for international travel. It was her wish that all students have the opportunity to study abroad.

THE ASSOCIATION FOR CORPORATE GROWTH MBA STUDENT AWARD
This award is given annually to an outstanding MBA student who maintains a 3.5 grade average or better, has at least three years' professional work experience prior to returning to graduate school and plays an active leadership role in the MBA student community and/or the Atlanta business community.

THE MILLS B. LANE/BANK OF AMERICA SCHOLARSHIP
The Mills B. Lane Scholarship was established by Bank of America in 1997 to benefit Robinson College students with academic achievement of 3.0 GPA or better, overall standing in the Robinson College of Business and demonstrated potential for success in business.

PICKETT RIGGS SCHOLARSHIP
The Pickett Riggs Scholarship was established by the Young Alumni Council to honor Mrs. Pickett Riggs, former teacher of quantitative methods (decision sciences), who was one of the university's most highly esteemed teachers. The scholarship is awarded for high scholastic achievement, leadership abilities and commitment to Georgia State University.

Endowed by members of the Atlanta organization and recognizes scholastic achievement, leadership ability and active participation in Georgia State University student activities.

GTA TEACHING EXCELLENCE AWARD
GTA Teaching Excellence Awards are made for outstanding teaching performance by doctoral-level teaching assistants during the preceding calendar year (Spring, Summer, and Fall terms). Graduate Teaching Assistants (GTAs) who teach for two or more semesters during the calendar year and have outstanding records in the classroom are eligible for this distinguished recognition in their area of specialty. GTAs are nominated by their academic units and selected by the College Executive Committee for this award.
