Michael Jay Jedel Award in Human Resource Management
This scholarship is named in honor of Michael Jay Jedel, a former associate dean of the Robinson College of Business and director of the W. T. Beebe Institute of Personnel and Employment Relations. It is presented annually to an M.S. or M.B.A. student who exhibits high standards of academic achievement, strong commitment to the human resources field, and outstanding leadership potential.

This scholarship was established in memory of the founder of Days Inns and the namesake of the School of Hospitality. It is presented to a hospitality major based on academic achievement, school and community involvement and work experience.

This scholarship, funded by the professional association for hotel concierges in Atlanta, is presented to a hospitality major who has work experience in the hotel industry in a guest service capacity. Selection is also based on academic achievement.

This scholarship is in memory of Austin Hansen who served for many years as the chair of the School of Hospitality's Industry Board. It is presented to a hospitality major based on academic achievement, school and community involvement and work experience. Preference is given to students who are in the foodservice industry or planning to participate in study abroad programs.

This scholarship was established by Hunter Realty, leading hotel brokers since 1978. In addition to academic performance and work experience, preference is given to students with career plans in hotel development and double-majors in hospitality and real estate or finance.

This scholarship is in honor of John Jordan, General Manager of the Cherokee Town and Country Club for almost 45 years. It is awarded to a student who is majoring in hospitality with a club management focus. Selection is also based on academic achievement, work experience and club industry involvement.

Cotterman Outstanding Student Award
Each year, the computer information systems department honors the student in the MS-CIS program with the most outstanding academic record. The award is named for William C. Cotterman, the first chairman of the CIS department at Georgia State University. Winners of this award receive a cash award and their names are engraved on a plaque that hangs in the lobby of the CIS department.

Rozelle Outstanding Programmer Award
Each year, the computer information systems department honors the student in the CIS program with the most outstanding academic record in the programming courses. The award is named for James P. Rozelle, a former faculty member of the CIS department at Georgia State University. Winners of this award receive a cash award and their names are engraved on a plaque that hangs in the lobby of the CIS department.

Bergeron Women in Technology Leadership Scholarships
The scholarship-mentorship program provides for a fully paid tuition award and a one-on-one mentorship relationship between each recipient and an individual leader from the technology industry. The program is funded through a $1 million endowment made by Sandra and Doug Bergeron to the university's J. Mack Robinson College of Business. Sandra Bergeron is a graduate of Georgia State University.

R. C. Williams, M.D., Honor Award
The R. C. Williams, M.D., Honor Award was established to honor the late Dr. Williams, who founded the Hospital Administration program at GSU in 1952. The award is given to the MBA/MHA student demonstrating outstanding leadership in the profession through university, community and work-related endeavors.

This scholarship was established upon Dr. Roland "Knob" Knobel's retirement in 1985, after teaching in the Institute since 1970. This award is given to two students in the MBA/MHA program in recognition of their distinction in the graduate healthcare program and their academic performance.

Max G. Holland Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is presented annually to the student in the MBA/MHA program with the highest grade-point average. The scholarship was established in memory of Dr. Max Holland, who was on the faculty of the Institute from 1976 to 1989.

This scholarship is awarded by the Association of University Programs in Health Administration (AUPHA) to a student in an accredited graduate health administration program, who has distinguished him or herself in the profession.
