Applying for Graduation

Your advisor can assist you in planning your path to graduation. Planning ahead is of utmost importance, and your advisor can help you consider ways to balance your schedule, plan for prerequisites and develop meaningful educational goals.

A major step in planning your path to graduation is the formal application for graduation. Graduate students should apply to graduate two semesters before their intended term of graduation. Graduation Services, a division of the Office of the Registrar, is the starting point for this important task.

How to Apply

Complete the application by logging into PAWS. To access the Graduation Application, select the Enrollment tab. The Application for Graduation link is located under the Updates/Requests Student Record section of the page. Once the link is selected, step-by-step instructions will be provided regarding the application process. Submit the form online with the graduation fee.

The non-refundable graduation application fee is $50. Students must apply for each degree/major earned and pay a separate fee. The fee covers the cost of printing, packaging and mailing your diploma.

The graduation fee is included in tuition for all cohort master’s programs. If you are prompted to pay the graduation fee, contact your academic advisor.
