president and CEO, ValueKorBrent Wouters, a seasoned CEO with years of global leadership experience, currently serves as president and CEO of ValueKor, which invests in companies with highly engineered, global products and undervalued core technologies. Mr. Wouters also specializes in CEO and interim CEO assignments for private equity portfolio companies seeking to revitalize growth and expand globally.
Mr. Wouters served as COO for Karma Automotive (formerly Fisker Automotive), the luxury plug-in hybrid electric automobile company, from 2014-2015. Karma Automotive was purchased out of bankruptcy by Wanxiang Group in 2013, and Mr. Wouters led the company’s rebuilding effort by establishing rapid technology and product innovation, a revitalized supply chain, and a state-of-the-art manufacturing and paint facility in southern California.
Prior to Karma Automotive, Wouters served as president and CEO of Cirrus Aircraft, where he transformed the business from a domestic company into a global enterprise serving customers in 60 countries, making it the world’s best-selling aircraft for 10 consecutive years. Wouters led the sale of Cirrus Aircraft to a Chinese company in 2011.
Wouters has held senior executive positions with other several leading companies in industries spanning aerospace, automotive, industrial equipment manufacturing, payment processing and finance. Wouters also began his career as an aircraft engineer and flight simulator engineer for Delta Air Lines.
Wouters holds an M.B.A. from Georgia State University, an M.S. degree in aerospace engineering from Iowa State University, and a B.A. in mathematics and physics from Graceland University in Iowa where he graduated magna cum laude.
