One of the country's foremost experts on Asia, Robert Oxnam, recently joined the college as the newest Robinson Global Scholar. Oxnam, president emeritus of the Asia Society in NY, is the author of several books on China, has served as a special correspondent to the MacNeil/Lehrer NewsHour, and has undertaken special projects for the country's top business executives like Bill Gates and Warren Buffet. Oxnam has studied Asia for more than 35 years, receiving his master's and Ph.D. in Asian studies and Chinese history.

As a Robinson Global Scholar, Oxnam is working to further develop the college's curriculum on the role of Asia within the global business marketplace and will lead a class of EMBA students on a two-week field study to Thailand, Beijing and Shanghai this summer.

Here Oxnam talks about the rise of China, other Asian markets, and U.S./Asia relationships.
