Robinson’s School of Accountancy has announced its scholarship recipients for 2019. Each year, faculty from the department nominate student honorees, who are selected by a scholarship committee.
Academic Excellence in Taxation Scholarship
Awarded to three outstanding students enrolled in the Master of Taxation Program.

Catherine E. Miles Fellowship
Awarded to two outstanding doctoral students in the School of Accountancy. Dr. Catherine Miles served as Chairman of the Accounting Department at GSU from 1955 to 1976 and was one of the founders of the GSU chapter of Beta Alpha Psi, the accountancy honor society.

William Lee Burge Accounting Scholarship
Two outstanding accounting students receive a scholarship in honor of William Lee Burge. A native Atlantan, William Lee Burge started working as a teenager in the mailroom of the Retail Credit Company and later rose to become the company’s Chairman of the Board. The company is known today as Equifax.
