Atlanta Concierge Society Kevin Roach Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship, in memory of a dedicated and stellar hospitality professional, Kevin Roach, and funded by the professional association for hotel concierges in Atlanta, is presented to a hospitality major who has hospitality career aspirations and has demonstrated a commitment to quality service. Selection is also based on academic achievement, work experience and extracurricular involvement.

Atlanta Hospitality Alliance Scholarship
This scholarship was established by the Atlanta Hospitality Alliance. This Alliance provides a forum for networking and professional development for Atlanta-area hotel owners, developers, operators, franchisors and professional service providers. American Hotel & Lodging Association Educational Foundation Cecil B. Day Memorial Scholarship
In 1981, a scholarship fund was established in memory of Cecil B. Day from the Cecil B. Day Investment Company with a $500,000 contribution. To-date more than $800,000 in scholarships has been awarded to 702 students.

American Hotel & Lodging Association Education Foundation Rama Scholarship for the American Dream
JHM Hotels, Inc. established the Rama Scholarship for the American Dream with a $1,000,001 endowment. The five Rama brothers, principals in the company, emigrated from India to pursue their American Dream. It began with the ownership of one lodging property and grew into a successful operation of 40 properties with 6,520 rooms and more than 1,500 associates. The fund, established on the 25th anniversary of the brothers’ first hotel purchase, encourages others to create their own American Dream. Participating schools select the recipients and preference is given to students of Asian-Indian descent and other minority groups as well as JHM Hotel employees. Since its inception in 1998 the Rama Scholarship Fund has awarded $631,300 in scholarships to 388 recipients.

The founder of Hotel Equities is GSU alumnus, Fred Cerrone. This scholarship is based on academic achievement, career goals, work experience and school and community involvement.

North Point Hospitality Group, Inc., based in Atlanta, was founded in 1978 by JK Patel. The company owns, develops, and manages brand defining hotels in key business markets and leisure destinations. JK Patel’s son, S. Jay Patel, is the President and CEO of North Point. Under his leadership, the company has experienced significant growth to their portfolio based on the philosophy of being in the best markets with the best brands at the best locations.
