Why did you choose Robinson for your graduate education?
Once a Panther, always a Panther! I knew by enrolling at Robinson, I could bypass the doubts and insecurities of pursuing a graduate degree at another school and still receive some of the top education in the country. I look forward to expanding my knowledge and experiences in the music and hospitality industries through marketing. What better place to do that than right here at home?
How will the degree propel your career goals?
I want to learn best practices for networking with customers in order to understand how they consume products and services, specifically music listeners and world travelers. My hope is to figure out a cool way to connect the music and hospitality industries on a global scale.
What unique background and perspectives will you bring to classroom discussions?
My creative background in music and my corporate background in hospitality, I think, will bring a fresh perspective to marketing strategies and research due to the rapidly evolving nature of both industries. Adaptation is a major component in marketing, and my perspectives could help guide those discussions.
What's the biggest risk you've ever taken?
The biggest risk I've taken was not applying for graduate school immediately after completing my undergraduate program. Instead of continuing on the track of higher education, I decided to begin my professional career. Although my first job was not in the field in which I earned my degree (music industry/management), I gained additional skills and advanced my professional goals in the entertainment industry at my own pace. It worked out well, however, because now I have experience and professional tools to help me succeed in the master's program.
