Our Center for International Business Education & Research (CIBER) facilitates the advancement of international business education, research, and practice. Only 16 CIBERs exist across the United States.
We emphasize sustainability and responsible decision-making throughout our master's program. We offer training on the topic in collaboration with the Green Chamber of the South and the Greenhouse Accelerator.
Students gain exposure to major global organizations with offices and headquarters located near our campus.
At the Institute of International Business (IIB), our faculty nurture a "career-ready" student body who impress employers with a global mindset, analytical skills, and social consciousness. Through our focus on the concept of "responsible global business," we seek to promote innovation while keeping environmental, societal, and governance imperatives top of mind.
Our research and teaching emphasize dynamic linkages of multiple stakeholders in international business. These include all sizes of multinational organizations, emerging economies, the diverse and under-served communities in Georgia and the Southeast United States, and the globally mobile labor force amongst migrants and refugee communities. We are keenly attentive to intercultural coalitions, inclusion, and sustainability.
Our faculty possess decades of experience specializing in teaching, executive training, global strategy, international public policy, bilateral and multilateral negotiations, international financial institutions, emerging markets, international marketing, international entrepreneurship, and cross-cultural management.
They edit and publish in top journals, including Academy of Management Journal, Administrative Science Quarterly, Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of World Business, International Business Review, Journal of Management, Personnel Psychology, and Strategic Management Journal.
