BERMUDA RAILWAY TREK
This annual event was founded in 2004 by Gary Meggs and Greg McCollister to raise money to support insurance-related studies for young Bermudians. The walk supports Bermudians who pursue a risk management or actuarial science undergraduate degree at Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia. Georgia State has the largest dedicated risk management program in the United States. It is ranked #1 in Actuarial Science Research for the second straight year and is the #4 ranked Undergraduate RMI program in the country per US News and World Report. Bermuda College now also has a collaborative and successful 2+2 program where Bermudians can attend two years of schooling locally and transfer to Georgia State as a third-year student.
To date the fund has awarded in excess of $230,000 in undergraduate scholarships and our goal is to exceed $250,000 this year. We need YOU to help continue our fundraising efforts, and we look forward to your participation in this year’s Railway Trek!
