Executive Career Mentoring
What is Executive Career Mentoring?
Executive Career Mentoring, established in 2004, provides business executives, alumni and champions with an opportunity to share their knowledge and experience with current Robinson College of Business students.

Why serve as an Executive Career Mentor?
One of the Career Advancement Center’s most highly rated programs among mentors and student mentees alike, this unique program continues to evolve and grow!
Mentors have an opportunity to shape the future by sharing their professional experience with tomorrow’s business leaders who are actively exploring career paths, industries, and functional areas as they pursue professional development opportunities.
We encourage you to consider joining our robust network of business executives, alumni and champions committed to supporting current Robinson students personal and professional development. During the Fall and Spring semester, we pro-actively recruit students who are currently enrolled in Robinson’s graduate and undergraduate programs and are passionate about their career and professional development.
Interested students are asked to complete a detailed mentee profile in Robinson’s PeopleGrove A.I. driven platform which matches students with mentors based on common career interests, industries, and functional area backgrounds.
Your Mentoring Commitment – Flexible and Hybrid
Each semester, we connect mentors with students during ‘Executive Career Mentoring’ week.
During this time, we facilitate an initial meeting between mentors and up to 3 student mentees in-person, or virtually, based on mentors’ availability and preferences.
Following this one-time commitment, we ask mentors and mentees to provide us with feedback regarding their initial meeting(s) and facilitate ongoing mentorship where there is mutual interest. Although there is no formal obligation, we encourage mentor and mentee matches to connect at least 3 times throughout the rest of the semester to maximize this experience.
Additional information is provided to facilitate this process via Robinson’s PeopleGrove platform which provides mentors and mentees with an ongoing virtual connection, mentoring resources to guide your interactions, and the ability to provide feedback.
