Georgia State's Executive Doctorate in Business program (EDB) was one of the first of its kind when first established in 2009. At the time there were only a couple of Doctorate in Business (DBA) programs. Today, there are 50 member schools recognized by the Executive DBA Council (EDBAC). And now, this year Georgia State's EDB program has officially graduated over 100 doctoral students.

Denise McCurdy, EDB Class of 2020, was a member of the winning team in GSU's first ever Blockchain Competition. Her teammates were Siyan Guo - MS Analytics, Kiran Ingale - MS Analytics, Phuong Nguyen - MBA, and Thien Vo - BS CIS. Their winning concept was titled, Dappy Fish: Fighting Fish Fraud with Blockchain.
