The Advisory Council for the School of Accountancy provides valuable services to the school by:
- Serving as a sounding board for educational initiatives and implementing research projects
- Advising faculty on serving the business and professional communities
- Promoting the school and its programs in the business and professional communities
- Developing funding strategies for faculty development, professorships, research projects, student scholarships, library acquisitions and general school endowments
- Providing opportunities to faculty for practical experience
- Assisting in attracting high-quality students and faculty to the school
